ThinkPad 7-row mechanical keyboard. This and a separate keypad would work perfect on my tiny desk.
Only issue is the missing F12 key (activated via Fn+F11). And four effin’ bills ($349 + $50 shipping + and whatever the Canadian government wants to rip me of at the border).

ohhhhh right because ibm/lenovo, i guess ive never seen them as mechanical keys before, usually just the flat buttons youd find on a regular trackpad

They had a version before this one that also had the same TrackPoint configuration:

Gib to Squirrel. Hopefully they sell a kit so I can use my bag of Zealios in it.
It also looks like you can actually use standard keycaps around the trackpoint unlike on the Yoda.

I’d get a better desk with that money. One that you can put a full-size keyboard and a decent mouse on.

Getting a better desk involves me getting a bigger house...
Frankly I already have a full size right now, but this is more like optimization or a year end goal. My PC is also 6 years old now, due for replacement but it’s still running fine (aside from occasional issue with the network card not waking up needed a reboot right after it started).

I refuse to have any shape or form of RGB in my setup.

I suggest the TG3 Bl82. You can get them for like $30 on eBay and they have Chery MX black switches and a touchpad or whatever. The only downside is that there’s a rubber membrane between the keyboard and the switches that makes it feel funny.
If you’re interested, the non backlit ones are cheaper. These keyboards were made for use in police cars and whatnot and cheap fleet managers buy the non backlit ones and then realize they suck and sell them.
